I'm very sorry to say that the Gimme 5 class next weekend is canceled due to a family issue. I'm hoping to get back on my feet soon, but under extreme circumstances, The Booker's Club is currently on hold until further notice.
Thanks for your understanding!

Just a re-cap of what's coming up.
Saturday, March 28th at 6:30pm at Cherish The Thought is a repeat of my image transference canvas workshop. Bring your own canvas (or use one of mine...they're 12x12) and some photos, I'll provide the rest. Wear short sleeves to the class...it's a messy one! I will do a sample "boy" version for another perspective. Watch for a sneak peek next week. Sign-Up: Sheri
Saturday, April 25th at 11:00am at (location TBA) is the next Gimme 5 featuring paper by My Mind's Eye "Penny Lane Free Bird" line. The paper will ship this week, so check back at the end of March for a sneak peek of the layouts. I'm doing something a little different this time around...let's just say I have plans for an interesting double-page spread.
Class will include lunch, refreshments and door prizes. If you can't make the class, you can also sign-up for a kit.
Sign-up: Tracy B, Lisa L, Sheri, Nancy D, Heidi, Nancy L, Chriss, Tracy, Anna, Felicia, Jessie (kit), Paula (kit), Maureen (kit), Erica, Dianne.
E-mail me (sonjam16@shaw.ca) to sign-up or for more information.

I'm happy (and relieved) to report that the finishing touches are being made on my new website www.sonjamclean.com. The website will streamline all my activities including local classes, online workshops, my blogs (including The Inpsired Scrapper) and an online retail store. My retail store will only contain The Booker's Club favourites like Hambly, Maya Road, Collage Press, Jenni Bowlin, stamps, my favourite tools and adhesives, project kits...stuff like that. Hopefully that'll make it easier for out-of-towners to access The Booker's Club projects and supplies.
I'll be working hard to get the inventory updated and website running in the next two weeks:) Check back soon!

Thanks for a great evening, ladies. Friends, food, scrapbooking, laughter...I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday night!!! I love listening to your stories and learning more about you. It's what makes The Booker's Club so enjoyable and rewarding for me!
I hope you enjoy your 5x10 Pageframes "Snow Angel" mini-album. I know working with acrylic is a bit tricky at first, but it's also very rewarding when it's finished. I hope you had fun playing with lace cardstock, die-cuts, glitter sheets, mixed-up acrylic pages and sheer sheets. Detailed photos went out by e-mail this morning to participants of the class...let me know if you did not receive it.
My next class is Sunday, Feb. 15th and Wednesday, Feb. 18th at Cherish The Thought in Port Moody. It's the Framed Coasters project I made for the Scrap n' Crop contest last summer. And YES, the 19" frame is included in the workshop. You're project, however, will not look exactly like mine b/c YOU get to choose the paper and embellishments from the stash I provide for the class. Fun, fun! Click here for exact times, a description of the class and to register. Space is limited to eight, so sign up quick if you're interested.
Because many of us will be at the Ultimate Scrapbook Retreat March 6-8), the next class will be Saturday, March 28th at 6:30pm. For those of you who missed my "Girls Night Out" event and didn't get to do the canvas workshop, I'm running it again as a class. Bring your own canvas (or I can pick some up if you don't have your own) and some photos...I'll provide the rest. Wear short sleeves to the class...it's a messy one! I will do a sample "boy" version for another perspecitve. Watch for a sneak peek in the next couple of weeks. Sign-Up: Sheri
Saturday, April 25th at 11:00am is the next Gimme 5. Woohoo...I'm so excited? Just wait 'till you see these gorgeous papers! They're from CHA-Winter 09, so I'll get a peek up as soon as they arrive at my door. Class will also include lunch, refreshments and door prizes.
Sign-up: Tracy B, Lisa L, Sheri, Nancy D, Heidi, Nancy L, Chriss, Tracy.
E-mail me (sonjam16@shaw.ca) to sign-up for the March 28th or April 25th class.

Hello everyone and belated Merry Christmas. The internet went down right after I made my December 25th posts on This Inspired Scrapper and my personal blog. As it turns out, it was just a loose cable connection. When I asked my teen son if he checked ALL the cords, and he said "of course I did!", I should have known better. *LOL* The lack of the internet over the holidays proved to be a good thing for me. My teen son was forced to spend time with us! We had a great time together!
I just want to give you guys an update as to what's going on in the next month. On January 3rd at 6:30pm, I'm hosting a crop at Cherish The Thought. My good friend, Janet, is in town. Come celebrate with us. Send me an e-mail or leave a comment here if you'd like to attend. I'm bringing a few appies and mulled cider to enjoy. There's space for eight. Come to scrapbook or just to visit. We'd love to see you!
On January 18th (at 1:00pm) and 21st (at 10:00am and 6:30pm), I'm teaching my "Home for the Holidays" mini-album at Cherish The Thought. You get a full set of Basic Gray chipboard alphas (so you can title the book whatever you like), vintage embellies, Jenni Bowlin paper and bingo cards and much more. Contact Cherish (or me) if you're interested in taking the class. They're closed over the holidays, but leave a message or send an e-mail. Stamps are not included in the kit (to make it more cost efficient) but are available to purchase if you want them.
On Saturday, Feb. 7th (6:30pm at Cherish), The Booker's Club is excited to announce a new class. I've had this project in my mind since BC Crop for Kids. Someone asked me about an acyrlic album for winter and this project immediately formed in my mind. It comes at the perfect time too...with all this snow, it'll be easy to fill the album with beautiful photos. My "Snow Angel" acrylic album features product from KI Memories, Accucut, Maya Road and more. Check back soon for a sneak peek:) E-mail me to sign-up.
Sign-up for "Snow Angel" class: Tracy, Sheri, Chriss, Felicia, Anna. (room for 6, but extra classes will be scheduled as needed).
Well, that's all for now! I have a few more "projects" I'm working on (and may not be able to attend CHA b/c of them), but I'll keep you updated as things progress.
Happy Winter!

A warm and special THANKS to all who attended my Anniversary crop on Sunday. I know it's a busy time of year and I appreciate you finding time to celebrate with us. Isaiah and I had so much fun! It was the most relaxing crop I've ever put on...I can't believe how much I got done! And a HUGE thank-you to everyone who helped with set-up and clean-up! You guys are really THE BEST!
The Booker's Club has become a truly blessed venture for me. Aside from the motivation to create interesting projects to share, I've had the great opportunity to meet (and become close to) many of you...people I respect and admire. You make my life richer and it's a real pleasure to share my passion with you! Thanks for the past two years and I look forward to many more!
Because there were so many people in and out at the crop, I decided to draw the door prizes after the event. Congrats to these lucky ladies! I'll e-mail you with pick-up/drop-off arrangements.
-Hayley, prize pack from Blue Eye Dezines
-Cathy, prize pack from Paper Trunk
-Tracy, prize pack from Basic Grey
-Sheri, prize pack from Epicure Selections (donated by Alzira www.epicureselections.com)
As for upcoming events, save Saturday, Jan. 3rd for "Girls Night Out". Joining us is a great friend and collegue, a most talented scrapbooker, super-mom extrordinaire, our very own Janet is visiting from out-of-town. Can't wait to see you, my friend! I'm firming up plans as we speak and will e-mail details soon. E-mail me if you'd like to join us. The more, the merrier!
P.S. My little "secret" will be announced on Christmas Day! And NO, I'm not pregnant!!! *LOL*

Five layouts in five hours, including shopping and hot snacks! Wow...that's a new record for The Booker's Club! *LOL*
Thanks for a great evening, ladies...it was a pleasure, as always! And thanks to our lovely hostess (with the mostess), Jessie, for sharing her store with our wacky group. I agree with Tracy, smaller groups are more fun. You really get a chance to chat and connect, which is just as important as getting those layouts done (IMO).
I e-mailed the projects to you last night, let me know if you did not receive them. If you have questions about them, please don't hesitate to e-mail or call me.
Thanks and hope to see you on Dec. 7th:) Remember, I'll have my Accucut machine, along with several project kits (including "Home for The Holidays"), general product (adhesives, inks, cardstock, envelopes, etc) and some other fun stuff (Jenni Bowlin, Hambly, Crate Paper, stamps, KI Memories specialty paper and more).

Although there's no scheduled Booker's Club class in December, I still wanted to offer a holiday inspired project...something to work on between festivities or while the kids (and husbands) are occupied with their new games and toys. This "Home for the Holidays" mini-album is the perfect for Christmas, but b/c you get full alphas, the project does not have to be Christmasy at all.
The sample book will be available at my December 7th crop for viewing, and I'm hoping to have the kits ready too. I'm just waiting to hear back from Purple Onion about stamp availability (the stamps in the photo are not the ones in your kit...you get a set of two snowflakes and a line of musical notes). I guess I could also sell the kits without stamps (and you can borrow mine at the crop). That's an option. Anywho...I'll get back to you on that. It'll be a couple of days with the American holiday.
E-mail me to pre-order. Kit will be about $35.
